     The girls' A soccer team had a tremendous season going undefeated. Coach Boyle, the girl's A soccer coach explains, “Going undefeated was an amazing accomplishment! We’ve had successful seasons in previous years, but never undefeated. Defeating Voorhees in the championship game was definitely a highlight.” Winning against Vorhees was tough for the girls but they made it happen. Maya Morgan scored a goal with a minute left in the clock winning them the game!

     With lots of practice, the girls were more than ready for their games. “A typical practice starts with a dynamic warm-up followed by ball work. The players on our Beck Girls Soccer team already have a tremendous level of soccer skill, so we like to do a quick footwork drill each day to get focused for our practice.” Coach Boyle said, describing what a typical practice entailed for the girls as they prepared for each game. 

     To all those players looking to learn the sport Coach Boyle suggests that learning the game and having an understanding of the game will help you be a better player. “Getting a feel for the game is really important. Skills and fitness can be developed, but an understanding of the game, or their soccer IQ, is vital to a player’s success.” That’s a wrap for the 2023 soccer season. The girls played very well and deserved all their wins.
